A community–based organization is an organization that provides services within or on behalf of young people within their community. Some examples are mentoring groups, youth leaderships groups, after school programs, and recreational programs. Community organization refers to organizing aimed at making desired improvements to a community’s social health, well-being, and overall functioning.
